 Mao Asada took first place in the World Figure Skating Championships. This took place on March 20, 2008 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Mao Asada performed variety of jumps and spins to win this competition. Carolina Costner from Italy was placed in second place and Kim Yu-na from Korea was in third place. (more…)

 Guess who’s back! Gilbert Arenas, A.K.A Agent Zero, the star point guard for the Washington Wizards returns to the lineup on April 2, 2008 to play against the Milwaukee Bucks. Arenas came back from a long break due to his knee surgery back in November. He got the good call from his doctor’s and trainer’s saying that he could play and that he could help the team with scoring and defense as well. (more…)

 Jarl Olsen is from Denmark, and he is going to tell us about his favorite, Danish pastry. People in Denmark are always eating their pastry; it is kind of like our rice or bread that we eat in the Philippines or in the USA. These Danish pastries are located almost every corner in Denmark. The chemo however eventually started to fall apart as it developed some side effects eventually going to result in to a tragic death. Film Fest – Justin van Klaveren

 Last Tuesday April 8th 2008 the second annual Film Fest was held. The movies were displayed in the F.A.T at 3:30. The movies were made by not only high school IB students but also by one group of 8th graders from the video journalism class. The festival was held to show not only other students, but also parents what the IB students made over the year. The students showed films with a unique story line, and each movie only had a certain time length. (more…)
